Pellegrini: "We're left with disappointment over the late chance"

Pellegrini felt Betis deserved more after Troy Parrott's late miss in the 94th minute denied them victory at Celta.

former Real Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini accepted the 1-1 draw at Celta but expressed frustration over a missed opportunity in the closing stages. Pellegrini acknowledged that Celta dominated the first half, with goalkeeper Álvaro Valles making key saves, but said Betis improved significantly after the break and created two clear chances: Nelson Deossa's shot that hit the crossbar and Troy Parrott's one-on-one in the final minutes.

"We improved a lot, we were superior and had two very clear chances," Pellegrini said. "We're left with some disappointment about the 94th-minute chance, not being able to give us three points, but that's football."

Pellegrini also confirmed that Diego Llorente was substituted due to muscular discomfort and a yellow card, with no serious injury, while Dani Ceballos finished with calf tightness from accumulated minutes but has no major issues. The manager backed the referee's decision not to send off Ilaix Moriba for his challenge on Ceballos and highlighted the value of taking a point away from home.
