Who will win goalkeeper of the year at Ballon d'Or 2026? Men's and women's nominees in full

David Raya is among the contenders for the 2026 Ballon d'Or men's goalkeeper of the year award, the Yashin Trophy. The Arsenal keeper finished seventh in last year's voting and has impressed with 19 Premier League clean sheets and nine Champions League clean sheets in 14 appearances, earning a spot in the Champions League team of the season.

However, Spain teammate Joan Garcia is the favourite after an outstanding debut season at Barcelona, recording a 77.9% save percentage—the best in Europe—and winning a LaLiga title. Fellow Spaniard Unai Simon is also nominated after starting at the 2026 World Cup, where he conceded just one goal and set a new clean sheet record as Spain won the tournament.

In the women's award, Barcelona's Cata Coll is the front-runner after keeping 23 clean sheets and conceding just nine goals. Chelsea and England's Hannah Hampton, last year's inaugural winner, is chasing back-to-back Yashin Trophy awards.
