Bruno Fernandes aims subtle dig at Manchester United on social media

Bruno Fernandes liked a social media post about loyalty after being dropped as an unused substitute in United's 3-0 loss to Bournemouth.

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has liked an Instagram post that reads "Never push a loyal person to the point where they no longer care," in an apparent dig at the club following his omission from Sunday's 3-0 Premier League defeat to Bournemouth.

Fernandes was dropped by manager Michael Carrick for the first time in five years after questioning the manager's tactics following United's Champions League loss to Como. The midfielder was sent out to warm up in the 58th minute but Carrick used all his substitutions without introducing him. Fernandes arrived at the ground with his hood up and shook his head when substituted against Como, with Carrick not acknowledging him on the bench.

The 32-year-old's contract expires at the end of the season, though United hold a 12-month extension option. Fernandes previously turned down a lucrative offer from Al-Hilal, citing family reasons and belief in Rúben Amorim's project.
