Napoli, defensive injuries: Badiashile out one month, Spinazzola sidelined two weeks

Badiashile out for a month with a right thigh muscle tear; Spinazzola sidelined for two weeks with a hamstring injury.

Napoli's defence has been hit by a double blow. Benoit Badiashile suffered a medium-grade strain of the right rectus femoris during the Roma match on Saturday and will miss approximately one month of action. The French defender, who joined Napoli in the summer, has a history of muscle injuries from his time at Chelsea.

Leonardo Spinazzola also picked up an injury in the closing stages of the same match — a low-grade right hamstring strain — and is expected to be sidelined for around two weeks.

Both players will miss Wednesday's Serie A fixture against Monza (20:45), the big matches against Juventus (1 November) and Lazio (8 November), and Napoli's Champions League clash with Porto (4 November).
