Ballon d'Or results in full as Harry Kane beats Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappe to men's prize

Kane won the men's award for the first time, beating Mbappé and Yamal; Putellas claimed her third women's Ballon d'Or.

Harry Kane claimed the Ballon d'Or for the first time at a ceremony in London, becoming the first English winner since Michael Owen in 2001. Kane saw off competition from Kylian Mbappé in second place and Lamine Yamal in third. Yamal, who finished third in the main award, won the Kopa Trophy for the best player under 21 for a third successive year.

In the women's award, Alexia Putellas secured her third Ballon d'Or, tying the record held by former Barcelona teammate Aitana Bonmati. Putellas, who moved to London City Lionesses earlier this year, topped the women's rankings ahead of second-place finisher Sam Kerr. Lamine Yamal also won the Kopa Trophy, while Vicky Lopez of Barcelona won the Gerd Müller Trophy for best young player.
