Wayne Rooney makes X-rated threat to Man Utd players in dressing room rant

Rooney criticized Manchester United players' lack of effort and emotion, saying their performances are unacceptable and don't match the standard of wearing the shirt.

Wayne Rooney launched a scathing critique of Manchester United's players during an appearance on the Stick to United podcast, expressing his frustration with their performances and attitude on the pitch. The 41-year-old former United captain questioned the commitment and work rate of the current squad, noting that fans could see the pain and anger in their faces as players walked around the pitch without urgency or intensity.

Rooney contrasted the current team's approach with his own playing style, emphasizing that he always ran and put himself about as a team. He criticized players for appearing numb and emotionless, suggesting some lack care for the shirt they wear. While acknowledging that some players are good lads being dragged down by the collective performance, Rooney made clear his view that the squad's current standard is far below what Manchester United should demand.
