Bruno Fernandes tipped to leave Manchester United: 'It's coming to an end'

Portuguese journalist Pedro Sepulveda believes Fernandes should leave Manchester United, citing a fractured relationship with manager Carrick and suggesting a move to a top European club would benefit both parties.

Bruno Fernandes' relationship with Manchester United appears to be deteriorating. The captain was dropped for Sunday's 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth and recently clashed with manager Erik ten Hag over tactics, even liking a social media post that appeared to criticise the manager.

Portuguese journalist Pedro Sepulveda told talkSPORT that he believes the best outcome for both Fernandes and United is a parting of ways. Sepulveda argued that Fernandes, currently in his prime, would be better served at an established club competing for major honours, where his performances could be better reflected in individual awards. He noted that Fernandes' 27th-place Ballon d'Or finish does not reflect his quality and numbers.

Sepulveda dismissed the possibility of Fernandes moving to Saudi Arabia or returning to Portugal, saying the midfielder would prioritise a top European project over financial offers. However, he suggested that Fernandes' strong personality and behaviour in the dressing room may be affecting interest from other elite clubs, and that his presence could become problematic when results are poor.
