Gleeful Chelsea fans react to Manchester United's Michael Carrick sack decision: 'Free three points'

Manchester United will keep Michael Carrick as manager for Saturday's trip to Chelsea despite eight games without a win.

Manchester United have decided to retain Michael Carrick as manager following a meeting on Monday, despite a run of eight games without victory across all competitions. The decision comes after a 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Sunday, where United were heavily outplayed. Carrick had faced serious speculation about his future following a poor Champions League display against Como, but the club has opted to keep him in place at least through Saturday's fixture at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea supporters have reacted with jubilation on social media, with many predicting an easy victory against a struggling United side. One fan posted "free three points", while others shared celebration memes and videos, confident the Blues will capitalise on United's poor form.
