Kvaratskhelia undergoes surgery after Barcelona injury

Kvaratskhelia underwent successful surgery in Doha for a torn ACL in his right knee suffered against Barcelona on 20 October; expected to miss the rest of the season.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has undergone successful surgery in Doha following a serious knee injury sustained during PSG's 4-2 Champions League victory over Barcelona on 20 October at Parc des Princes. The Georgian winger suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee after a collision with Xavi Simons while supporting play. He left the pitch under his own power but required assistance.

Kvaratskhelia is expected to miss the remainder of the season due to the severity of the injury. The player has now begun his rehabilitation programme at a clinic in Doha. While an exact return date is difficult to pinpoint, injuries of this type typically require a recovery period exceeding six months.
