Gasperini on TV: "Lulli and Pisilli like Totti and De Rossi? Well...". Then the Rodrigo Mora story

Gasperini praised Gollini's performance and young talents Lulli and Pisilli after Atalanta's 4-2 win at Cagliari, comparing the Romans' contributions to Totti and De Rossi.

former Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini was satisfied with his side's 4-2 victory over Cagliari, acknowledging the difficulty of the task despite the scoreline. "Winning wasn't easy, but it was very important," Gasperini said. "We had some players in difficulty, and they had fresher attacking options. The fact we won is an even greater merit."

Gasperini had high praise for goalkeeper Gollini, calling him "strepitous" and "a goalkeeper of great level." He also highlighted the growth of defender Ghilardi and spoke positively about young talents Lulli and Pisilli, Roma-affiliated players in Atalanta's youth system. When asked about the pair's recent contributions, Gasperini smiled at a comparison to Totti and De Rossi, noting that such output from Roma youth hadn't reached the senior side since 2015-16.

Gasperini also revealed an anecdote about Rodrigo Mora, recalling a similar goal the Porto player scored that impressed him with its power despite Mora's small stature.
