Landucci: "Once they said Napoli won narrowly..."

Landucci defended Napoli's style after beating Monza, saying critics change their narrative depending on results.

Marco Landucci, standing in for suspended manager Massimiliano Allegri, spoke after Napoli's midweek Serie A win over Monza. The deputy coach addressed recurring criticism of the team's approach, noting that observers once complained Napoli won narrowly while others played attractive football, but now focus on goals conceded. "To silence them you have to win matches," Landucci said. "We beat Bodo, played well against Roma, and did the same tonight."

Landucci praised the performance despite conceding early, saying Napoli improved significantly in the second half. He highlighted the importance of having Scott McTominay and Frank Anguissa available after their recent injuries, crediting their midfield presence for the team's improvement. He also confirmed Stanislav Lobotka suffered an ankle injury and will undergo tests, likely sidelining him for a period.
