PSG winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has undergone surgery in Doha following a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained in the Champions League match against FC Barcelona on 20 October. He is expected to miss at least six months of competition, ruling him out until May at the earliest.

Meanwhile, his younger brother Tornike, a 16-year-old playing for Dinamo Tbilissi's youth side, scored twice and provided an assist in a 3-0 UEFA Youth League victory over Copenhagen on Wednesday. After one of his goals—a strike remarkably similar to his brother's signature move from the left wing, cutting inside to the far corner—Tornike celebrated with Khvicha's trademark "ice in my veins" gesture as a show of support during his recovery.
