Sancet ready for derby

Sancet cleared to face Real Sociedad on Sunday after recovering from a moderate calf injury sustained three weeks ago.

Sancet will be available for Athletic Bilbao's derby against Real Sociedad at San Mamés on Sunday at 21:00. The midfielder trained with the group again this morning, continuing his recovery from a moderate left calf injury suffered three weeks ago. Manager Terzic will decide how much playing time Sancet can handle, similar to how Nico Williams featured for around 20 minutes in Athletic's recent Copa del Rey win after his own recent injury.

Athletic returned to Bilbao this morning following their 6-1 victory over Prat in Barcelona. Players who accumulated heavy minutes in that match underwent recovery work, while others completed a standard session. Canales and Conde were unavailable for the open training period, with Canales expected to return with Bilbao Athletic's reserve side. Galarreta remains sidelined, while Djaló trained normally after missing recent squad selections due to an infection contracted during the international break.
