Barça Atlètic appoints new goalkeeper coach as Unzué steps up

Jesús Unzué, son of former Barça manager Juan Carlos Unzué, promoted to goalkeeper coach of Barça Atlètic after Unai Alba joined Valencia.

FC Barcelona announced that Jesús Unzué, 32, will become the new goalkeeper coach of Barça Atlètic. Unzué previously worked as goalkeeper coach of Barcelona's U19 side and has been in the club's youth categories since 2019. The promotion follows Unai Alba's departure to Valencia, where he joined manager Javier Aguirre's coaching staff after three years with the B team. Barcelona thanked Alba for his work and dedication during his time at the club. Àlex Sánchez will replace Unzué as U19 goalkeeper coach, moving up from his role with the U16 and U15 sides.
