"He was wrong to go" – Liverpool transfer choice slammed and player told to leave

Ex-Juventus player Angelo Di Livio criticised Chiesa's Liverpool move and suggested Roma or Inter Milan as potential destinations to revive his career.

Federico Chiesa is into his third season at Liverpool but has featured for only just over 1000 minutes across 51 appearances in all competitions, a disappointing return since his arrival. The Italian winger has also seen his prominence with the national team reduce during his time at Anfield.

Ex-Juventus player Angelo Di Livio has now weighed in on Chiesa's situation, telling ReteSport that the decision to join Liverpool was a mistake. "Chiesa? He was wrong to go to Liverpool. Someone who knows how to play football always knows how to do it," Di Livio said. He backed Roma as a potential destination, suggesting the move would help Chiesa recover his form and return to prominence with Italy, particularly under manager Gasperini.

Inter Milan have also been mentioned as a possible suitor and could make a move if Luis Henrique leaves. Di Livio believes Chiesa needs to leave Liverpool to prevent his career from continuing to falter, with Italian clubs expected to make approaches soon.
