Cardinale's sermon

Cardinale expressed confidence in Amorim and Milan's title chances despite sitting fifth, seven points behind Inter after ten matches.

Milan president Gerry Cardinale spoke optimistically about the club's prospects under manager Ruben Amorim, admitting that Inter's position troubles him but expressing belief that Milan can close the gap. Cardinale told journalists "We are coming" as the club sits fifth in the table, one point ahead of Frosinone and four behind both Juventus and Napoli, with seven points separating them from leaders Inter.

Cardinale praised Amorim's work, describing his tactical approach positively. However, Milan's season has been inconsistent—showing flashes of quality at Juventus Stadium, in the second half at Lazio, and in a strong performance at Salzburg, but also suffering heavy defeats including a 3-0 loss at Bournemouth, a home loss to Benfica, and a 2-4 defeat to Bologna in their first league loss of the campaign.
