Liverpool XI vs Arsenal: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup, injury latest for Premier League

Szoboszlai and Munoz could return for Liverpool's Arsenal clash after injury absences, though manager Iraola says their involvement remains uncertain with two days until kickoff.

Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola offered a cautiously optimistic update on two key players ahead of Sunday's Premier League meeting with Arsenal. Dominik Szoboszlai, the reigning Player of the Season, has been sidelined by a persistent hamstring injury since the international break and managed only 32 minutes in his comeback at Brentford earlier this month, missing five of the last six matches. Summer signing Victor Munoz scored in that same game but has not featured since sustaining a right knee problem in the second half.

Iraola told his pre-match press conference on Friday: "I think they have a chance. But I don't know for sure if they will be involved or not. We still have two days so I think we have a chance, yes." The manager made wholesale changes for Liverpool's Carabao Cup victory over Chelsea in midweek, but Alisson, Jeremy Jacquet, Milos Kerkez, Alexis Mac Allister, Florian Wirtz, Bradley Barcola and Alexander Isak are all expected to return to the starting XI. Barcelona loanee Ronald Araujo will move from centre-back to right-back in place of the injured Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley, allowing captain Virgil van Dijk to resume his partnership with Jacquet in defence. Ryan Gravenberch and Mac Allister are set to anchor midfield after Gravenberch played the full 90 against Chelsea.
