Falkirk 2 Celtic 0 LIVE reaction Martin O'Neill sees pressure crank up after shocker from the champions
Summarised by MatchPal
Celtic lose 2-0 to Falkirk in the Scottish Premiership, squandering a chance to go seven points clear at the top.
Celtic suffered a shock 2-0 defeat to Falkirk in the Scottish Premiership, with the champions failing to capitalise on their rivals' cup commitments. Falkirk's goalkeeper Bain produced an outstanding display with double-figure saves, denying Celtic repeatedly despite the visitors creating an expected goals total of nearly three. Scott Tanser opened the scoring for the home side, with a second goal following in the second half as Falkirk's defence held firm against sustained Celtic pressure. The loss leaves Celtic's title challenge under scrutiny, with manager Martin O'Neill facing questions after a run of inconsistent form. Falkirk's victory continues their impressive season and moves them into contention for a top-four finish.
