Gattuso after Cagliari: "Without this spirit we are just an ordinary team"

Gattuso praised his Lazio side after they came from behind to beat Cagliari and move top of Serie A, but warned against complacency with 12 points still to chase.

Lazio moved into sole first place in Serie A after coming from behind to beat Cagliari, capitalizing on Inter's derby loss. Manager Gattuso kept perspective despite the victory, emphasizing the distance still to cover. "We're all there, 12 points short of the season target," he said. "The difficulties are real — all teams are balanced and well-structured. We must think match by match and not look at the table or it will make our heads spin. We need to pedal, rest and pedal hard." Gattuso highlighted the mentality required, noting that without the right spirit Lazio would be just an ordinary team.
