Kargbo nearing full return for Blackburn - Mowbray

Kargbo is nearing full fitness after over a year out with a hamstring injury and will soon be available for selection, though Mowbray expects him to start from the bench initially.

Augustus Kargbo is close to returning to Blackburn Rovers' starting line-up after a hamstring injury sidelined him for over a year. Manager Tony Mowbray said the forward is "almost ready for full selection" but noted he still lacks the core fitness to play from the start. Kargbo has made four substitute appearances since his return, including coming on at half-time in Saturday's 4-0 defeat to Swansea. Mowbray expects him to continue as a bench option in the short term, adding that if Kargbo can replicate the impact he showed in his recent 30-minute cameo, "that'll be very positive for the team."
