Inter exercise Dimarco renewal clause, contract now expires in 2028

Inter exercised a unilateral clause to extend Dimarco's contract to 2028; talks now aim for a further extension to 2029 or 2030.

Inter has exercised a unilateral clause in Federico Dimarco's contract, extending his deal from June 2027 to 2028. The club has now communicated this decision to the player and his representatives.

With the new expiry date in place, Inter and Dimarco's agents will begin formal negotiations to extend his contract further, potentially to 2029 or 2030. The talks will proceed on the assumption that Dimarco, who recently changed agents, wishes to remain at the club.

Dimarco is one of several Inter players whose contracts are being addressed. Midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu's deal expires at the end of the season and would allow him to sign for another club from February; Como and other top sides have been mentioned. Calhanoglu wants to stay and is seeking a two-year contract, with discussions already underway with sporting director Baccin. Forward Marcus Thuram is prioritising on-field matters before discussing renewal, while Carlos Augusto's extension is progressing toward imminent formalisation.
