Why Rosa donates to charity: 'So much happens in the world'

Ajax defender Rosa donates 1% of his salary to charity, citing players' responsibility to help those in need.

Ajax defender Luca Rosa has committed to donating one percent of his salary to charitable causes. Speaking ahead of the club's Europa League away match against Midtjylland, Rosa emphasized the responsibility players have as public figures. 'If we can help even a little bit, through donations, football boots, shirts or whatever else... we have a role model function,' he said. The initiative reflects Rosa's belief that footballers should use their platform and resources to make a positive impact.
