Tributes to Jesús de Miguel continue in Gran Canaria

Las Palmas will wear Tenerife's colours on Sunday against Eldense to honour deceased player Jesús de Miguel, with tributes planned at the stadium.

Las Palmas and Tenerife, fierce rivals on the pitch, have united in grief following the death of Jesús de Miguel. The two clubs have set aside their rivalry to pay respects to the player and his family.

On Sunday, Las Palmas will wear Tenerife's traditional white and blue colours during their match against Eldense at the Estadio de Gran Canaria, kicking off at 17:30 local time. The tribute will extend beyond the kit: fans have gathered at Gate 9 of the stadium to pay their respects, and representatives from Tenerife's supporters' federation will attend the match to join in the commemoration. In the ninth minute, a roaring ovation is planned in De Miguel's memory, while supporters' flags will be displayed with black ribbons.
