Who will win Thun vs Hearts? Our writers make their predictions for Conference League clash

Hearts face FC Thun in Conference League with manager Vrancken depleted by injuries to key players after Sunday's cup semi-final.

Hearts travel to Switzerland to face FC Thun in the Conference League on Thursday night, with manager Wouter Vrancken severely hampered by injuries. Tomas Magnusson and Calvin Miller were forced off during Sunday's Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Hibernian, leaving the Belgian boss without an entire outfield team. The fixture comes amid a punishing schedule of two games a week, with rotation not an option given the injury crisis.

FC Thun arrive in decent form after a dramatic 5-4 comeback win against Lausanne on Sunday, though they sit ninth in the Swiss league and bottom of the Conference League with zero points from six matches. Hearts' writers are divided on the outcome, with most backing the Jambos to at least secure a point away from home, though one predicts a 2-2 draw. A win would turn their home draw with Nordsjaelland into a respectable result and keep their hopes alive with three more group games to come. Hearts have one more Premiership fixture before the international break offers a chance to recover some injured players.
