Mateus Fernandes holds key to Tottenham beating Leeds after new reveal - verdict

Analysis of Mateus Fernandes' threat to Leeds ahead of Tottenham's visit on 7 November, with the midfielder in strong form under De Zerbi.

Tottenham travel to Leeds on 7 November with Spurs unbeaten in four matches and sitting ninth in the Premier League, while Leeds have fallen to 12th without a win in five games.

Mateus Fernandes has emerged as a key player for Tottenham under Roberto De Zerbi after initially struggling for minutes. The midfielder has a strong record against Leeds from his time at West Ham, scoring two goals and providing an assist across three meetings with the Whites. Both of his goals came in the 90th minute or later, and his assist came in West Ham's most recent victory over them.

Daniel Farke faces a defensive headache with Dominic Calvert-Lewin's injury ahead of the fixture, and stopping Fernandes will be a priority for the Leeds manager given his recent form and history against the club.
