Tottenham chief reveals ultimate aim to win the Premier League as he insists club is on 'right track'

Tottenham CEO Venkatesham says the club is on the right track after three straight wins, with an ultimate aim to win the Premier League.

Tottenham chief executive Vinai Venkatesham has outlined the club's ultimate objective of winning the Premier League, insisting Spurs are heading in the right direction after a difficult 2025-26 season that nearly saw them relegated.

Spurs narrowly avoided dropping to the Championship last season under a succession of managers before Roberto De Zerbi secured survival on the final day. A summer of heavy investment followed, with 10 new signings brought in. After a sluggish start to the current campaign, Tottenham have now won three matches in a row ahead of Saturday's trip to Leeds.

Speaking on The Sports Agents Podcast, Venkatesham said: "Ultimately, I guess the best way to answer your question is what are we here for? We're here to win, right? If you work for Tottenham, when we talk about being here to win, that means we're here to win the Premier League." He acknowledged there will be good and bad moments this season but expressed firm belief the club is on the right track.

In a separate update, playmaker Xavi Simons is progressing ahead of schedule in his recovery from an ACL injury suffered in April and is expected to return to first-team training in late November, with a possible match return before the end of the year.
