Ajax and general director Geelen part ways

Geelen, who became general director in 2024, will depart in April 2027 after 17 years with the club.

Ajax and general director Menno Geelen have agreed to part ways. Geelen, who has been with Ajax since 2010, was promoted to general director in 2024 after serving as commercial director from 2016. The mutual decision was made following discussions with the board of commissioners, with his departure set for April 2027. Ajax has begun searching for a replacement, engaging an external recruitment firm for the process.
