'Incredible achievement for the family' as Bellingham brothers called up

Jobe Bellingham called up to England senior squad after excelling as U21 captain at Borussia Dortmund, following similar path to brother Jude.

Jobe Bellingham has received his first senior England call-up, joining his brother Jude in the national team setup. The Borussia Dortmund midfielder, 19, has mirrored his older brother's career trajectory from Birmingham City academy through the Bundesliga, and now earns recognition after captaining England's U21 side.

England manager Thomas Tuchel praised Jobe's performances, noting he is a more defensive midfielder than Jude but equally physical and composed on the ball. "He's the standout player. He's the captain, so the door should always be open for the pathway," Tuchel said. The call-up comes as an opportunity opened by injuries and suspension to other midfielders ahead of matches against Croatia at Wembley on 12 November and Spain in Madrid on 15 November.

If both brothers feature together, they would join a select group of England siblings including Bobby and Jack Charlton (1966 World Cup winners), Gary and Phil Neville, and the Chalobah brothers.
