Manu Koné is on the road to recovery from a first-degree right hamstring injury sustained against Real Madrid on 14 October, when he was forced off after 15 minutes. However, France manager Zinedine Zidane has not included the Roma midfielder in his squad for upcoming Nations League fixtures against Italy on 12 November in Milan and Turkey on 15 November.

Koné is progressing well and Roma manager Gasperini will assess his availability for the club's match against Sassuolo. His absence from the French national team for the remainder of 2026 is confirmed.
