Kasper Hogh can't buy a goal for Celtic but he's not the only expensive signing who must soon start delivering

Kasper Hogh is enduring a goalscoring drought at Celtic, failing to find the net in his last 15 appearances since his £11m move. Against Besiktas on Thursday, he had just 18 touches of the ball by half-time, none in the opposition box, highlighting a supply problem rather than a pure finishing issue. Manager Martin O'Neill and his team-mates are backing the striker, but the raw statistics of no goals in 15 games are hard to defend for a player of his cost.

Hogh is not alone in struggling to justify his fee. Winger Haissem Hassan, signed for over £6m with add-ons potentially reaching £9m, has also underperformed, managing just two assists and no goals. Hassan was surprisingly left on the bench against Besiktas while 35-year-old James Forrest started. Both players have the talent but need to start delivering tangible output, particularly Hassan in an attacking sense. This weekend's match against Kilmarnock offers both men a chance to build momentum and justify their investments.
