"Would be starters for Inter" – Bournemouth praise, PL favourite saw Milan win coming

Paolo Di Canio praised Bournemouth's depth, saying 5-6 players would start for Inter, and predicted Milan would struggle against them—a prediction that proved correct after their 3-0 Europa League win.

Bournemouth are enjoying a remarkable run under Marco Rose, sitting seventh in the Premier League with a six-match winning streak. Their most significant result came in late October when they defeated AC Milan 3-0 in the Europa League—a historic win given that Bournemouth rebranded their identity to copy Milan's red and black colours over 50 years ago.

Former player Paolo Di Canio has highlighted the quality in Bournemouth's squad, telling La Repubblica that he was certain Milan would struggle against them. "They have 5 or 6 players there who would be starters for Inter," Di Canio said, questioning Milan's leadership and suggesting their recent Coppa Italia success does not guarantee a Scudetto challenge. Di Canio's assessment proved prescient, with Bournemouth's victory underlining their impressive European performance this season.
