Mourinho: "The team smells good"

Mourinho praised Real Madrid's perfect performance in a 3-0 away win at Valencia, extending their winning streak to eight games across all competitions.

José Mourinho expressed satisfaction after Real Madrid's 3-0 victory at Mestalla before the international break, which extended their winning run to eight consecutive wins across all competitions.

"It was a fantastic performance from a team that is growing and smells good," Mourinho said. He highlighted the team's perfect execution, contrasting it with previous wins that required late comebacks. "Today we played a perfect match," the Portuguese manager added.

Mourinho emphasized the importance of the clean sheet and defensive solidity, noting that Valencia had only one real chance, which Courtois saved at 0-0. He praised the squad's depth and morale, pointing out that unused players like Militao were training positively and the group remained happy when rotation players featured. The manager credited the demanding run of four consecutive away matches with travel and limited rest as a confidence-builder heading into the final game before the break.
