Iraola won't rule out Gravenberch minutes for 'too honest' Liverpool

Gravenberch is a doubt for Sunday's match against Crystal Palace but Iraola has not ruled out his involvement if he can manage the pain.

Ryan Gravenberch has been omitted from the Netherlands squad for upcoming internationals against Greece and Germany due to injury, but Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola suggested the midfielder could feature against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Iraola described Gravenberch as "the only doubt in the selection" and explained the club will assess him day-to-day based on pain levels. "If he can handle it and is able to help us, he will play," the manager said. Gravenberch has been sidelined recently, sitting on the bench for the Arsenal match and missing the Fenerbahçe game entirely.

Iraola also addressed refereeing concerns, noting Liverpool has conceded the most fouls (188) and the third-most yellow cards (21) in the Premier League this season while committing only 88 fouls themselves. He suggested the club's fair play approach may be working against them, saying: "Sometimes we are too honest. You can't go around faking it. If we complain, it has to be genuine."
