Sources: Liverpool's stance on Giovanni Leoni loan move revealed

Liverpool reject Juventus loan interest in Leoni; 19-year-old centre-back to stay at Anfield as he recovers from ACL injury.

Juventus have targeted Liverpool centre-back Giovanni Leoni for a January loan, but sources say the Reds have made clear they will not let him leave. The 19-year-old, who ruptured his ACL on his competitive debut last summer, is nearing a return to action and Liverpool view him as crucial to their long-term project. The club expects him to gain Premier League minutes under Andoni Iraola in the second half of the season rather than move elsewhere.
