Player to soon sign for Crystal Palace or Ipswich Town – Newcastle United now out

16-year-old Be Sport Academy prospect Ndao is expected to sign soon with either Crystal Palace or Ipswich Town after impressing in trials; Newcastle dropped out due to injury.

Serigne Afia Ndao, a 16-year-old from Be Sport Academy, has impressed Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town during reserve team trials and is expected to sign with one of them soon. The youngster, who has also attracted interest from Wolverhampton, Burnley, and European clubs including Benfica, was initially set to trial at Newcastle United but an injury halted those plans. Both English clubs' coaching staff gave strong endorsements, with Mark Robinson comparing him to Chelsea academy graduates Levi Colwill, Trevor Chalobah, and Ben Chilwell.
