"The mark of a star player" – Crystal Palace hype building, time for Sage to give him a chance

Crystal Palace winger Osorio impressed for Chile against Mexico, setting up a goal with a clever pass that drew praise from legend Iván Zamorano.

Crystal Palace's summer signing Darío Osorio has yet to establish himself under manager Pierre Sage at club level, but he reminded observers of his quality during international duty. The 22-year-old winger set up Vicente Pizarro's goal in Chile's 2-0 win over Mexico with a deceptive pass, drawing particular praise from Chile legend Iván Zamorano for the awareness and skill involved. Zamorano highlighted the moment as "the mark of a star player," noting Osorio's ability to deceive defenders and create chances despite not dominating the match overall.
