"I didn't kick him out" – Manager breaks silence on Ipswich Town player's controversial exit

former Chile manager Nicolás Córdova denies kicking Marcelino Núñez out of the squad, saying the Ipswich midfielder made the decision to leave for personal reasons.

former Chile manager Nicolás Córdova has broken his silence on Marcelino Núñez's controversial exit from the national squad, denying reports of a row between them. Córdova says he only learned of Núñez's decision to leave the morning after Chile's game against the United States, and that the Ipswich midfielder chose to depart for personal reasons to return to England. The manager repeatedly deflected questions about the specifics, insisting it was Núñez's choice and not a dismissal on his part.
