Sancet and Nico injuries complicate Terzic's plans

Sancet joins Nico Williams in the Athletic injury list with a moderate soleus strain, complicating Terzic's plans ahead of Saturday's trip to Vallecas.

Athletic Club will face Rayo Vallecano on Saturday without two key players. Midfielder Sancet suffered a moderate soleus strain in his left leg during training this week and joins World Cup winner Nico Williams on the sidelines. Williams was injured during international duty on September 29. Both players are crucial to manager Edin Terzic's system, with Sancet having started every match so far. The club has not provided return dates, but both are expected to miss at least the Rayo and Valencia fixtures.
