West Ham player's agent in meeting with La Liga club – January transfer on agenda

Alvarez's agent met with Valencia officials; a January loan move is being explored as the midfielder seeks an exit from West Ham.

Edson Alvarez's agent held talks with Valencia director of football Braulio Vazquez on Wednesday at the club's training ground in Paterna. Atlante manager Javier Aguirre, who previously managed Alvarez with Mexico, is keen on the midfielder's versatility. West Ham would only consider a loan deal in January, though terms around fees and salary remain to be negotiated. Alvarez has barely featured under Nuno Espirito Santo and is actively seeking a move away from London Stadium.
