Alex Scott: Chelsea dealt transfer blow as Liverpool 'move ahead' in pursuit of £100m star
Summarised by MatchPal
Liverpool lead Chelsea in pursuit of Bournemouth midfielder Scott; Cherries will listen to offers in January for around £100m.
Liverpool have moved ahead of Chelsea in the race to sign Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott, according to the Daily Mail. The 23-year-old England international was unavailable in the summer when Chelsea made two bids, the highest reaching £64m, but Bournemouth have now softened their stance ahead of the January window. The Cherries are expected to demand £100m. Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola, who previously managed Bournemouth, is believed to be a key factor in Scott's preference for a move to Merseyside.
