Sheff Utd boss Wilder expecting 'rollercoaster season'

Wilder expects ups and downs this season after Sheffield United's mixed start; Blades travel to Bristol City on Saturday.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has acknowledged a difficult start to the Championship season, describing it as a "rollercoaster" with wins and losses affecting the club's league position. The Blades sit three places below Bristol City ahead of Saturday's away fixture. Wilder attributed the inconsistency to both management and players, noting they would have climbed four or five places with a win at Portsmouth on Wednesday. Sheffield United will be without midfielder Hamza Choudhury due to a red card, while full-back Matt Doughty is sidelined for up to three weeks with a knee injury.
