Mansfield wanted it more than us - Dons boss

Jackson blamed his side's lack of desire after Mansfield's 3-0 home win, saying the Stags showed more energy in the first half.

AFC Wimbledon suffered a 3-0 home defeat to Mansfield Town on Tuesday, with Michael Smith scoring twice in the first half-hour. Boss Johnnie Jackson admitted his team lacked desire and energy early on, telling BBC Radio London that Mansfield "wanted it more" and were more front-footed. Jackson said the Dons' second-half improvement came too late and criticised his side for not starting with the intensity required. The loss leaves Wimbledon 16th in League One ahead of Saturday's home match against Wycombe Wanderers.
