Jackson says team's performance was 'miles better'

Jackson praised his side's improved display after a 1-1 draw with Wycombe, their first point in four games.

AFC Wimbledon drew 1-1 with Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday, with Jayden Stockley giving the Dons an early lead before Fred Onyedinma equalised on the hour. The result came after three consecutive League One defeats in which Wimbledon conceded eight goals without reply.

Manager Johnnie Jackson was pleased with the response, telling BBC Radio London the performance was "miles improved" from recent outings. "It was probably a fair result, on balance," he said. "They had some moments, we had some moments. Obviously we wanted a win, but it was important we didn't lose as well." Jackson emphasised his focus on effort and intensity: "It's about running, fighting, being hard to beat and coming up against your man and trying to win some duels. The response from my team was good in that regard."
