Urbig saves Bayern from upset at Freiburg, 1-3

Bayern won 3-1 at Freiburg with goalkeeper Urbig making a crucial late save, though an own goal made the finish tense.

Bayern Munich secured a 3-1 victory at Freiburg, with goalkeeper Urbig proving decisive in a match played amid concerns over manager Vincent Kompany's health.

Upamecano opened the scoring in the 16th minute after a long run and combination with Olise. Gnabry doubled the lead before half-time, finishing between the goalkeeper's legs after a Brown assist. Bayern dominated but failed to kill off the game, and Bischof's own goal in the 81st minute gave Freiburg hope. The hosts pressed hard in the closing stages, with Urbig making a crucial save from Ginter's header in stoppage time. Olise sealed the win in the 90+4th minute after Freiburg goalkeeper Backhaus lost possession outside his area.
