Paco García Caridad: "Mourinho took advantage of Barcelona's absences and dominated Flick"

Radio MARCA panel praised Mourinho's tactical setup in Real Madrid's Clásico win over Barcelona, highlighting Flick's struggles to adapt when the stakes are highest.

Paco García Caridad returned to Radio MARCA's 'El Corrillo' opinion segment alongside Rafa Sahuquillo, Manel Bruña, Ulises Sánchez Flor and Joan Prats to discuss Real Madrid's Clásico victory at Camp Nou and the Ballon d'Or gala.

The panel credited José Mourinho's tactical approach for Real Madrid's clear superiority, with Joan Prats stating "Madrid clearly outplayed Barcelona in a football problem." Ulises Sánchez-Flor highlighted Mourinho's ability to reinvent himself and learn from mistakes, while the commentators noted Hansi Flick's difficulty finding alternatives when big matches demand tactical adjustments. Barcelona's defensive fragility and lack of ball control were central to the debate.

Mbappé emerged vindicated after scoring twice and proving decisive in a high-pressure setting. García Caridad defended the French striker against critics questioning his big-match performances, describing him as "a demolishing type of player" and emphasizing his need for a united team effort. The panel identified collective sacrifice, defensive solidarity and attacking ruthlessness as keys to Madrid's triumph.

The Ballon d'Or gala also featured prominently, with Harry Kane, Mbappé and Lamine Yamal among the leading candidates discussed before the ceremony.
