Rio Ngumoha responds with message after Chelsea player deal agreed

Ngumoha reacted to Chelsea prospect Ezenwata's new contract with a heart emoji on Instagram.

Rio Ngumoha, Liverpool's 18-year-old England international, responded to Chelsea's Chizaram Ezenwata signing a new contract until 2029 by liking his Instagram post with a red heart emoji. Ngumoha left Chelsea's academy in 2024 for a £2.8m tribunal fee and has since become one of Liverpool's brightest young attacking prospects, making 29 appearances last season and earning a competitive England debut. Ezenwata, also 18, is a highly rated Chelsea forward who has impressed at youth levels and is a regular for their under-21s. The interaction highlights the ongoing connection between the two former Chelsea academy teammates, though Ngumoha is now focused on his development at Liverpool while contract talks continue beyond his current 2028 deal.
