Cristiano Ronaldo's 2008 Ballon d'Or wins B.O.A.T. award for greatest of all time

France Football's readers voted Cristiano Ronaldo's 2008 Ballon d'Or as the greatest in history in a new B.O.A.T. award.

France Football created a special B.O.A.T. (Ballon d'Or of All Time) award to crown the greatest Ballon d'Or winner in history. Unlike the traditional award voted by journalists, this edition allowed France Football readers to choose their favourite, with voters selecting from all players who won the prize at least twice and voting for a specific edition of their award.

Cristiano Ronaldo's 2008 Ballon d'Or won the public vote. Readers paid one euro to participate in the voting, with two tickets to the 2027 Ballon d'Or gala offered as prizes in a draw for participants.
