Kane receives congratulations from his great Tottenham partner

Son Heung-min congratulated his former Tottenham teammate Kane on winning the Ballon d'Or, calling him deserving of the award.

Harry Kane received congratulations from across the football world after winning the Ballon d'Or on Monday, ahead of Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal. Among the most emotional messages came from Son Heung-min, Kane's longtime partner at Tottenham.

The South Korean winger and Kane formed one of Spurs' most formidable attacking partnerships between 2015 and 2023, particularly under Mauricio Pochettino's management. Together they reached the 2018-19 Champions League final, which Tottenham lost 2-0 to Liverpool at the Metropolitano. Despite their success together, the pair never won a trophy with the club.

Son, now 34 and playing for Los Angeles FC in MLS, wrote: "You deserved it more than anyone. Huge congratulations, my teammate." Kane has since found trophy success at Bayern Munich, winning two Bundesliga titles, a German Cup, and two German Super Cups.
