I already wanted to leave PSG in January

Ramos reveals he wanted to leave PSG in January but the club refused; he eventually joined Milan in summer.

Gonçalo Ramos has disclosed in an interview with Canal 11 that he sought to depart PSG during the January transfer window rather than in summer. The Portuguese forward explained that PSG rejected his initial request because they would have needed to find a replacement. Director of sport Luis Campos subsequently assured him he could leave in the summer window, which is when the move to Milan materialised.

Ramos acknowledged the difficulty of leaving PSG, citing the strong group atmosphere and his close relationships with fellow Portuguese players Vitinha, Neves and Mendes. He said his teammates, aware of his desire to depart, jokingly asked him to stay for the sake of the group's exceptional environment.
