Liverpool set to offer Mac Allister a contract renewal after Manchester City and Atlético Madrid showed interest in the midfielder.

Alexis Mac Allister is attracting interest from Manchester City, Atlético Madrid and other top European clubs, prompting Liverpool to take action to secure his future.

The Argentina international, who joined Liverpool from Brighton in June 2023, has just over 20 months remaining on his current deal. His agent and father, Carlos Mac Allister, revealed in May that the club hadn't opened renewal talks at that time, and the player later expressed sadness at not receiving an offer while teammates signed extensions.

Liverpool's management is now preparing to present a formal renewal proposal to Mac Allister. Manager Andoni Iraola considers him indispensable to his long-term plans, and the club hopes the offer will be decisive in extending his stay beyond 2028.
